Privacy Policy

In short: we do not see, store, or transmit the content of your QR codes. Everything is generated in your browser.

      The most important thing you should know: the URLs, contacts, WiFi passwords, payment addresses, and any other text you put into our QR generator never leave your device. The QR code is built in your browser using JavaScript — there is no server-side processing of your inputs.
    

1. What data we collect

We collect a small amount of aggregate, anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4 (visitor counts, page views, country, device type, referrer). This data is anonymized (IP-truncated) and is used only to understand how the site is used and to make it better.

We do not collect:

The content of QR codes you generate (URLs, contact details, passwords, etc.)
Names, emails, phone numbers, or any personal identifiers
Account data — there are no accounts on this site

2. Local storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences (chosen colors, PNG size, language). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it any time via your browser settings.

3. Cookies and third-party services

The site uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google Analytics (anonymous usage statistics) — policy
Google AdSense (advertising) — may set cookies for ad personalization. Users in the EU/UK see a consent banner. policy
Google Fonts (Inter, Noto Sans variants) — fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. policy
esm.sh (loads the open-source QR generator library) — no cookies, no tracking, just a CDN
Netlify (hosting) — standard server logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) for security and analytics. policy

4. Advertising

We display ads via Google AdSense to keep the service free. AdSense may use cookies to serve ads relevant to you. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

5. GDPR rights (EU/EEA users)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Since we do not collect personal data tied to you, the only data that exists is your anonymous Google Analytics record. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the official browser add-on, or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the site.
